Jesper Svedhem has pitched in the Elitserien and for the Swedish national team.
He was 0-1 with a 1.86 ERA for Sweden in the 2013 European U18 Championship. [1] He allowed two runs (one earned) in two innings in the 2015 B-Level European Championship. [2] He went 6-1 with a 3.25 ERA for the Sundbyberg Heat in 2019. He was 8th in ERA (between Nicklas Melin and Ben Johnson), 4th in Ks (66, between Christian Keene and Heorhii Hvrytishvili) and tied Eddie Aucoin for the most wins. [3]
Svedhem made the Swedish squad for the 2019 European Championship. He started their opener against host Germany, going 3 innings (7 H, 4 BB, 5 R) before Daniel Linder took over; Svedhem took the loss. He also was lit up by Croatia (2 IP, 9 H, 6 R) before Johnson came in. He did not have Sweden's highest ERA in those Euros, though - Johnson, Jakob Syrén and Erik Marquardsen were all higher. He tied Borna Strelec, Marin Tadić and Artuur Driessens for the most losses in the tournament. [4]
