Biographical Information[edit]

Burhan Johar was a utility man for the Pakistani national team in the 2014 Asian Games. He replaced Muhammad Ahsan Baig in LF in a 9-1 loss to Japan and struck out against Takuaki Iguchi. He had one putout. Against Mongolia, in a 25-0 win, he pinch-hit for SS Muhammad Abu Bakar Ul Sid Siddiqui and singled in a run against Javkhlan Ulziibayar, later scoring. He stayed in at shortstop and went 1 for 2 with a walk, two runs and two RBI against Munkhbat Dashzeveg and registered a putout. He started at LF in a 6-0 loss to China then moved to RF. He had two more putouts but struck out twice against Haifan Yang before Fazal Ur Rehman replaced him. His three runs in the Asiad tied Umair Imdad Bhatti, Nasir Nadeem Butt, Baig and Khurram Raza Khan for second on the team, behind Muhammad Sumair Zawar.

Johar was not as effective in the 2015 Asian Championship, going 0 for 13 with a RBI as Pakistan's main DH; he was one of only two regulars to go hitless for the 5th-place team. He went 0 for 4 in the 2017 World Baseball Classic Qualifiers, starting at DH against Brazil and replacing Hidayat Ullah at DH versus Great Britain.
