Biographical Information[edit]
Hidayat Ullah made his Pakistani national team debut in the 2017 World Baseball Classic Qualifiers. He was their only position player to debut in that event - two pitchers (Asrar Ahmad and Muhammad Zohaib) debuted. In game one, against Brazil, he replaced Umair Imdad Bhatti at catcher. With two on and two out in the 7th, he had a shot at Pakistan's first RBI but grounded out against Edilson Batista. He also had a passed ball that game. In game two, versus Great Britain, he started at DH, hitting 7th. He grounded into a double play facing Greg Hendrix then was replaced by Burhan Johar.
