Biographical Information[edit]

Javkhlan Ulziibayar played for the Mongolian national team in the 2014 Asian Games. He entered their first game, versus China, as their third shortstop that day, replacing Purevjav Sengee and did not bat or handle a chance in the field. He started at pitcher against Pakistan and allowed 8 walks, 2 hits and 9 runs (4 earned) in 1 2/3 IP, throwing a wild pitch and committing an error before Munkhbat Dashzeveg relieved in what would be a 25-0 loss. Despite the 18.00 ERA, he had the best ERA of any of the three Mongolian pitchers in that Asiad who managed to retire a batter; the team ERA was 32.54. Ulziibayar started at short in their finale against Japan, struck out against Takayuki Kato and had one putout and one error before Sengee replaced him.
