Biographical Information[edit]

Nasir Nadeem Butt was the DH and #3 batter in the order for the Pakistani national team in the 2014 Asian Games. The 33-year-old was 1 for 4 in a loss to Japan, with a hit off Reo Moriyasu. He went 2 for 4 with 3 runs and 3 RBI in a rout of Mongolia and moved to 2B at one point but had no chances there. He started at 2B against China as 2B Muhammad Waqas Ismail moved to SS; he went 0 for 4 and had one error in three chances in a loss. He finished the event tied for second on Pakistan in runs and RBI, trailing Muhammad Sumair Zawar in runs and Khurram Raza Khan in RBI. He was hitting coach for Pakistan in the 2017 World Baseball Classic Qualifiers.
