Biographical Information[edit]
Muhammad Waqas Ismail was an infielder and #9 batter for the Pakistani national team in the 2014 Asian Games. Starting at 2B against Japan, he went 0 for 3 with two whiffs and had a putout and two assists in a loss. He went 1 for 2 with two walks, two runs and a RBI in a win over Mongolia, handling no chances before moving to DH and being replaced at 2B by Nasir Nadeem Butt. Against China, he started at short and went 0 for 3 with a putout and two assists. He was back with Pakistan for the 2017 Asian Championship, going 1 for 10 with a run and a steal, handling 13 chances error-free as their main second baseman. His lone hit came in their only win, over Sri Lanka.
