Biographical Information[edit]

Adnan Butt was an outfielder for the Pakistani national team in the 2014 Asian Games. The 35-year-old started in left field in their opener against Japan then moved to right before being replaced by Fazal Ur Rehman. He went 0 for 2 with a whiff against Reo Moriyasu and Ryota Sekiya. In a 25-0 romp of Mongolia, he again started in left, moved to right and was replaced by Ur Rehman; he went 3 for 3 with a run, 3 RBI and a sacrifice fly against Javkhlan Ulziibayar and Munkhbat Dashzeveg. He played DH in their last game, facing China, and went 0 for 3 with two Ks against Haifan Yang and Ziliang Li. He had one assist on the tournament and his 3 RBI tied for second on Pakistan, one behind Khurram Raza Khan.

He replaced Ubaid Ullah in right in Pakistan's opener of the 2017 World Baseball Classic Qualifiers against Brazil and drew a walk from Edilson Batista in his lone appearance. In their other game, facing Great Britain, he started in right and struck out against Greg Hendrix in his only plate appearance before being replaced by Ullah.
