Team History[edit]
The AZL Indians debuted in the 2009 as the Cleveland Indians' first affiliate in the Arizona League. They went 24-32, finishing 9 and a half games out, under manager Ted Kubiak. Their lone All-Star was 3B Jesus Brito, who led the league with a .366 average and .439 OBP. Baseball America rated him the league's #14 prospect, the only AZL Indian player so honored.
In 2018 the AZL Indians were replaced by the AZL Indians 1 and AZL Indians 2.
