Biographical Information[edit]
Mark Allen was an assistant coach at St. Gregory's University (1998), North Lake College (1999), Frank Phillips College (2004), North Central Texas College (2005-2008) and Seminole State College (2009-2010). He also coached for the Wisconsin Woodchucks in the summer of 2007.
Allen became a Cleveland Indians area scout in 2010. In 2014, while still a scout, he also became pitching coach for the AZL Indians. He signed Argenis Angulo and Sicnarf Loopstok. Allen was minor league pitching coordinator for the San Francisco Giants in 2019.
Allen then returned to college coaching, becoming the pitching coach for the University of Illinois in 2020, a job he still holds as of 2023.
