The 2011 Milwaukee Brewers opened the season with a bang on March 31, as 2B Rickie Weeks and CF Carlos Gomez hit back-to-back solo homers off Cincinnati Reds starter Edinson Volquez at the Great American Ballpark. Unfortunately, closer John Axford was unable to hold a 6-3 lead in the ninth, surrendering a walk-off three-run homer to Ramon Hernandez with two outs for a 7-6 loss.
