Postseason[edit]

The Monarchs won the first half title of the West Division, but declined to meet the American Giants, who had won the second half. The Monarchs had sold several of their better players to Organized Ball, and had lost several more to Latin American leagues, and manager Buck O'Neil forfeited the division title rather than field a non-representative team. The Clowns beat the American Giants easily in a brief championship series.
