Houston Eagles

In 1949 the Newark Eagles were sold and moved to Houston, TX where the Negro American League team became known as the Houston Eagles. The team played two years there, calling Buff Stadium home. Reuben Jones managed them their first year and Red Parnell the second. Players included Rufus Lewis, Willie Grace, Max Manning, and Johnny Washington.
