- "Army" Cooper and Chet Brewer of the Kansas City Monarchs combined on June 29 to no-hit the Chicago American Giants 4 - 0. Cooper was relieved with one out in eighth after walking the bases full. Brewer preserved the no-hitter and shutout, and earned a save.
