There have been 56 players who achieved 1,500 career RBIs. The charter member of the club was Cap Anson, who reached the mark in the 1891 season. Anson became the first National League player to drive in 1,500 runs during the 1893 season. On May 29th, 1923, Ty Cobb became the first player to achieve 1,500 RBIs in the American League.
