Biographical Information[edit]

Yu-Hsiang Lin has pitched for the Taiwanese national team.

Lin was 0-1 with a 20.25 ERA in three games in the Taiwanese minors in 2007, 0-2 with a 10.12 ERA in 2 games in 2010 and 2-7 with a 5.91 ERA in 2011. [1] He was 0-1 with a 2.25 ERA for Taiwan in the 2018 Haarlem Baseball Week, losing the finale to Japan despite one run (unearned) in three innings. His two pick-offs tied for the event lead. [2] In the 2018 Asian Games, he made two appearances. Against Indonesia, he started in a 15-0 win in which Taiwan changed pitchers each inning. He walked Diva Reza Fabil but then struck out three straight (Rizki Ramadan, Hakeem Rahniady Putra Ady and Adi Susanto). Bo-Hao Chen took over in the 2nd. [3] He also faced Japan, relieving Chien-Lung Huang in the 8th with a 4-0 deficit. He gave up a single to Tsuyoshi Tamura and a sacrifice to Asahi Sato. Shohei Morishita grounded out but Ryo Kinami singled in the game's last run before Lin recovered to get Sho Aoyagi swinging. Bo-Hao Chen again relieved him. [4] His 4.50 ERA on the event was not that high but still was the highest on Taiwan, .45 ahead of Hua-Ching Lin. [5]

His repertoire consists of a fastball (peak 89.5 mph), sinker and slider. [6]
