Biographical Information[edit]
Tsuyoshi Tamura was on the Japanese national team.
Tamura played for Japan in the 2018 Asian Games. He had four runs and five RBI in a rout of Thailand and homered off Hua-Ching Lin in the semifinals. Backing up Junya Kino at 1B, Shohei Morishita at 3B and Sho Aoyagi at SS, he had 16 chances without an error in the Games. He was 0 for 3 in the Gold Medal Game loss to South Korea but had hit .455/.538/1.545 with 6 runs in 5 games entering that contest.
