Biographical Information[edit]
Junya Kino has played for the Japanese national team.
Kino was with NTT Higashi Nihon in the industrial leagues after college, winning Best Nine honors at 1B in 2017. [1] He was with Japan for the 2018 Asian Games, hitting .200/.385/.300 with four runs while handling 22 chances error-free at 1B. His hits came off Tariq Nadeem (a double) and Haicheng Gong (a single). In the Gold Medal Game, he pinch-hit for Ryo Kinami late in a 3-0 loss to South Korea and was retired by Pil-joon Jang. [2]
