Biographical Information[edit]

Tariq Nadeem has played cricket and baseball in Pakistan. He played in the 2012 Asian Championship, closing out losses to Taiwan (1 IP, 0 R) and South Korea (2 R in 1 2/3 IP). He finished third on Pakistan in ERA, his 6.75 trailing team leader Muhammad Usman by 1.64. He was back with Pakistan in the 2014 Asian Games, allowing 12 hits, 7 runs (6 earned) and 4 walks in 7 IP while striking out two. He lost to Japan and China. He was third on Pakistan in ERA again, behind Adil Sardar and Usman. He was on the Pakistani team in the 2017 World Baseball Classic Qualifiers but did not get into a game; he was their oldest hurler. He coached for Pakistan in the 2017 Women's Baseball Asian Cup. In the 2017 Asian Championship, he pitched once, relieving Muhammad Usama with two on and two out in the 7th of a 13-1 mercy rule loss to Japan. He walked Takumi Ohshiro to load the bases but retired Shunta Tanaka to escape further harm. The game ended after the 7th due to the mercy rule.
