Biographical Information[edit]
Muhammad Usman was with Pakistan for the 2007 Asian Championship. He appeared in all three of their contests in the 2010 Asian Games. He started game one versus Hong Kong and allowed one run in four; he left with a 1-0 deficit and Pakistan went on to win 5-3. He also pitched in relief against both Taiwan (a 11-1 loss) and South Korea (a 17-0 rout).
He was again a workhorse in the 2012 Asian Championship, taking three of Pakistan's five decisions, losing 7-0 to China, 5-0 to South Korea and 2-0 to the Philippines (both runs were unearned in a 7-inning outing).
Usman was one of three Pakistani pitchers to be used in the 2014 Asian Games, alongside Tariq Nadeem and Adil Sardar. He had a 5.14 ERA in two games, allowing 9 hits, 4 walks and 5 runs (4 earned) in 7 innings. He struck out seven, one behind Sardar for the team lead; Sardar led in ERA and Usman was second. He was on Pakistan's entry for the 2017 World Baseball Classic Qualifiers but did not pitch (they only used 5 of their 14 hurlers).
