Yuchen Wang has been on the Chinese national team.

In the 2018 U-15 Baseball World Cup, he was 1-0 with a 6.00 ERA (beating Germany) and hit .214/.267/.214, fielding .720 as a SS-P. His 7 errors tied for the event lead. He was China's most effective hurler in the 2023 World Baseball Classic. Relieving Jian Yi in the 8th with a 6-1 deficit to champion Samurai Japan, the bases loaded and one out, he allowed a two-run double to Takuya Kai but got Kensuke Kondoh to hit into a force then retired Shohei Ohtani to end the inning. Against Australia, he succeeded Weiyi Wang with two outs in the 4th, a 10-2 deficit and one aboard. He got Robbie Perkins on a liner. In the 5th, he retired Ulrich Bojarski then walked Tim Kennelly and Alex Hall but recovered to get Robbie Glendinning on a fly and Darryl George swinging. Hao Zhang then relieved. His 0.00 ERA stood out on China's team; Qiang Lin was at 0.00 in 2/3 IP then Changlong Su was next at 8.10. The team ERA was 15.11.
