Biographical Information[edit]

Trevor Brigden has played as high as AAA and has been on Team Canada.

Brigden was picked by the Tampa Bay Rays in the 17th round of the 2019 amateur draft; the scout was Paul Kirsch. [1] He began his pro career that same year with the Princeton Rays, going 3-1 with a save and a 2.45 ERA; he had 23 strikeouts and one walk issued in 18 1/3 IP. The 2020 minor league season was wiped out by the COVID-19 pandemic. He appeared for Canada in the Americas Olympic Qualifier for the Tokyo Olympics. In his lone outing, he relieved Travis Seabrooke in the 3rd with a 2-0 deficit against Venezuela. He walked Hernán Pérez but got Ali Castillo on a fly. After the runner was caught stealing, he struck out Juniel Querecuto. The 4th did not go as well as he walked Robinson Chirinos then served up a dinger to Carlos Pérez. He got Diego Rincones looking, then Will McAffer relieved. [2]

He split the summer of 2021 between the Charleston RiverDogs (1-1, 2 Sv, 3.27 in 6 G), Bowling Green Hot Rods (6-0, 1 Sv, 2.97 in 23 G, 42 K in 36 1/3 IP, .85 WHIP) and Durham Bulls (0-1, 9 R in 1 2/3 IP). While he had a rough AAA debut, he tied Drew Strotman for 10th in the Rays chain in wins. He opened 2022 with the Montgomery Biscuits, in the AA Southern League.
