Biographical Information[edit]
Tony Barbone was the first baseman at Azusa Pacific College in 1975-1976, teaming with Paul Moskau and John Littlefield.
Barbone never played in the minors, but coached the Butte Copper Kings in 1992 and managed two years in the minor leagues, with the Vermont Expos.
Barbone was also the head coach at Azusa Pacific University (1986-1999, 2001-2002) and Concordia University (CA) (2004-2007), taking CU to the 2006 NAIA College World Series. At Azusa, Barbone had 516 wins and 8 Golden State Athletic Conference titles.
Prior to APU, Barbone was the head coach at Azusa High School for at least 3 years and an assistant at Citrus College for 2 years.
