The Sporting News Most Valuable Player Award

The The Sporting News Most Valuable Player Award was first given out by The Sporting News in 1929; although it was only awarded in the American League. The award was given annually to the player in each league judged by TSN baseball experts as being most valuable in each league. The awards were discontinued after the 1946 season.
