Tennessee State University was known as Tennessee Agricultural & Industrial State College until 1968. The school sponsored baseball from at least 1957 through 1993. The team competed as a Division-I Independent in 1986-1987 and in the Ohio Valley Conference from 1988 to 1993. TSU's other teams still compete in the OVC.
