Leon Moore was a college coach.
Moore was a baseball and football player in college. A defensive end, he was on the Los Angeles Rams (NFL) taxi squad from 1967-1969. He was baseball coach and assistant football coach at Fisk University from 1971-1977. He was assistant football coach at Central State University from 1978-1980, then was baseball coach (1982-1984) and assistant football coach (1981-1983) at Texas Southern University. In 1984-1985, he was softball coach, defensive coordinator in football and assistant women's basketball coach at Fayetteville State University. From 1986-2007, he was head equipment manager at Tennessee State, his alma mater, and also was the school's first softball coach.
