Biographical Information

Steve Larkin pitched seven seasons from 1931 to 1937, mostly in the minors. He served in the United States Army in Greenland during World War II (BN). He had a cup of coffee for the Detroit Tigers in 1934. His best year as a pro was in 1933 with the Shreveport Sports of the Dixie League, when he was 22-7 with an ERA of 2.88.

After his playing career, he was a commuting supervisor for General Electric in King of Prussia, PA. He died suddenly at age 58 at the YMCA in Norristown, PA from a ruptured abdominal aneurysm while en route from Cincinnati and is buried in Cincinnati, OH.
