Biographical Information[edit]

Shao-Hua Yueh has pitched in the CPBL. His brothers are CPBL outfielders Cheng-Hua Yueh and Tung-Hua Yueh.

Yueh was drafted by the Fubon Guardians in the seventh round of the 2021 CPBL Draft, but he only pitched 2 games with the big club in his rookie year.[1] He pitched 16 games in 2022, and he had a 1.76 ERA in 15 1/3 innings.

In 2023, he broke out and he had a 0.93 ERA in 22 games until June, and he was selected into the 2023 CPBL All-Star Games. Yueh relieved Kuan-Hsun Chen in the 7th inning of Game 2, and he retired Chih-Chieh Su then walked Namoh Iyang. He forced An-Ko Lin fly out, but Ssu-Chi Chou, Tzu-Hsien Chan and Giljegiljaw Kungkuan hit 3 straight singles and drove in 2 runs. Yueh struck out Kuo-Chen Fan to end his work, and Jyun-Yueh Tseng succeeded him.[2] He ended up collecting 5 holds with a 3.40 ERA in 46 games in 2023. [3]

Yueh's repertoire features a fastball that peaks at 91.9 mph, a curveball and changeup.
