Biographical Information[edit]

Pitcher Seth Streich was a 6th-round selection by the Oakland Athletics in the 2012 amateur draft, out of Ohio University. He went 4-1, 2.65 in 17 games in his first professional season, splitting his time between the AZL Athletics and the Vermont Lake Monsters. In 2013, he moved up to the Beloit Snappers of the Midwest League, where he went 10-6, 3.82 in 21 starts, logging 110 2/3 innings. In 2014, he was with the Stockton Ports in the California League where he went 9-6, 3.16 in 22 games, with 116 strikeouts in 114 innings.

On December 18, 2014, Seth was traded to the San Diego Padres along with C Derek Norris in return for Ps Jesse Hahn and R.J. Alvarez.

He is the younger brother of catcher Tobias Streich.
