Biographical Information

Sergio Palacio has pitched for the Colombian national team.

He was signed by the Miami Marlins in 2018. He made the Colombian squad for the 2019 Pan American Games. In his lone outing, he relieved Dewin Pérez with 2 outs in the 6th and a 6-1 deficit against Team Canada, the defending Gold Medalists. He allowed an Eric Wood single then retired Connor Panas to end the frame. In the 7th, after Colombia cut it to 6-2, he fanned Jordan Lennerton. Tristan Pompey doubled and Jordan Procyshen grounded him in. Jonathan Malo singled and Tyson Gillies flew out. In the 8th, he retired Wes Darvill and Rene Tosoni then things turned south. Wood and Panas singled and Lennerton smacked a 3-run homer to make it 10-2. Pompey singled but Palacio fanned Procyshen to end it.
