Biographical Information[edit]

As a senior in 1993, Sal Bando Jr. hit .329 with 12 HR and 42 RBI for Oklahoma State, the #6 team in the nation.

Bando played minor league ball in 1993-1994 in the St. Louis Cardinals chain. In 1993, he hit .188/~.263/.261 for the Glens Falls Redbirds as a 1B/DH. The next year, Bando was 0 for 7 with a walk for the Madison Hatters and 12 for 66 with 9 walks, 21 strikeouts and 19 total bases in 23 games for the New Jersey Cardinals.

Bando was the head coach at the University of Wisconsin-Parkside from 1998 to 2001. He was the head coach at High Point University from 2002 until May 21, 2008. He returned to coaching in 2011 at his alma mater, Marquette University High School [1]. In 2017, he returned to the college ranks when he took over as head coach of Milwaukee Area Technical College.

Bando is the son of Sal Bando, the nephew of Chris Bando and the cousin of Ben Bando, Phil Bando and Michael Bando.
