Biographical Information

Ben Bando played one season in the independent leagues. He is the son of Chris Bando, brother of Phil Bando and Michael Bando, nephew of Sal Bando and cousin of Sal Bando Jr.

Ben hit .390 as a high school junior and .500 as a senior. Bando hit .270/.302/.450 as a freshman at The Master's College, but slumped to .143/.210/.268 as a part-timer his sophomore year. Transferring to his father and uncle's alma mater, he was 1 for 5 for ASU in 2006. In his only season as a pro, he hit .230/.281/.397 for the 2007 Aiken Foxhounds, with 11 homers in 239 AB. He fielded .935 in the outfield and .977 at 1B. He tied for 7th in the South Coast League in home runs.
