Biographical Information[edit]
Ron Oestrike was head coach of Eastern Michigan University from 1965-1987, going 633-492-8. He took the team to the 1967 NAIA College World Series, 1968 NAIA College World Series, 1970 NAIA College World Series (winning it all), 1975 College World Series (5th place) and 1976 College World Series (second behind the University of Arizona). He develop Chris Hoiles, Pat Sheridan, Bob Welch, Bob Owchinko, Glenn Gulliver, John Martin, Ron Rightnowar, Mickey Weston and Bryan Clutterbuck.
Prior to Eastern Michigan, Oestrike spent eight years as football coach at Trenton High School
