Biographical Information[edit]
Raymond Nerosa has pitched for the Philippines national team.
In the 2023 East Asian Baseball Cup, he teamed with Vladi Eguia and Juan Paulo Macasaet on a no-hitter of Cambodia (he worked one inning) and allowed two hits and one run (fanning eight but walking seven) in seven innings in a win over Hong Kong. He helped the Philippines win the title and a spot in the 2023 Asian Championship. [1] In the 2022 Asian Games (delayed a year due to the COVID-19 pandemic), he did well in two outings. Against Laos, he relieved Eguia in the 5th with a 5-0 lead and another no-hitter in progress. He struck out Xaisana Thammavong but Phonthammard Souksumlary singled to break up the no-hitter. He wound up with three innings, giving up two hits, and striking out three, then gave way to Joshua Pineda, who wrapped up the shutout. Versus Thailand, he relieved Kennedy Torres in the 5th with a 8-0 edge. He walked Sitthichok Aunmueang, got Phoomwut Wutthikorn on a fly and surrendered a single to Sakai Phraechai. Pinch-runner Yodsaphan Sae Wa was caught stealing third and he then struck out Sek Sitthikaew. In the 6th, he again turned the ball over to Pineda. [2]
