Biographical Information

Joshua Pineda has pitched for the Philippines national team.

He was finals MVP after pitching his college to a title. Debuting with the national team in the 2022 Asian Games, his first appearance was relieving Raymond Nerosa with a 6-0 lead over Laos. He allowed a Bee Sengsoulin single (but he was caught stealing), retired Chinu Va, walked Mong Lee and recovered to retire Mung Chuevakham. In the 9th, he went 1-2-3 against Soulapixa Khounchaleun, Chounia Phothipanya and Yayua Wa, the latter two by strikeout. His other game was against Thailand. Relieving Nerosa in the 6th with a 8-0 lead, he allowed a run on a hit and a walk but also struck out a pair before giving way to Renato Samuel Jr..

Pineda was next with them for the 2023 Asian Championship.
