Soulapixa Khounchaleun has been on the Laotian national team.

He debuted for Laos in the 2023 East Asian Baseball Cup, turning in a strong start to beat Cambodia. He went eight shutout innings, allowing four hits and four walks while fanning eight, before Yayua Wa closed it out. He also went 1-for-6 with three runs for the event. He easily led his team in ERA and was named the event's All-Star starting pitcher, the only player from Laos to be an All-Star in the event. [1] In the 2022 Asian Games (held in 2023 due to COVID-19-related delays), he hit .125/.440/.125 with five times plunked, three runs and a RBI in seven games, handling 26 chances error-free as a C/P and going 0-1 with a 18.00 ERA. He lost to Japan as Kisho Iwamoto and Yoshiki Fuchigami pitched a perfect game and reached base three times in three appearances in their second match with Thailand. He led the Games in times hit by pitch (two more than Joe Daru), tied for 9th in walks (4), led Laos in runs (one more than Hue Thor) and led Laos in OBP (.076 ahead of Mung Chuevakham). He tied Thor for 6th in walks issued (7), was 7th in runs allowed (10, between Eleazar Jie Xian Ng and Kiattisak Chutongrat) and was third with 10 earned runs allowed (behind teammates Wa and Chuevakham). He had the most caught-stealing on defense (4) and only Mong Lee had more chances with a perfect fielding percentage for Laos. [2]
