Biographical Information

Kisho Iwamoto has pitched for the Japanese national team.

Iwamoto played for Nippon Shinyaku in the industrial leagues after college. He pitched for Japan in the 2022 Asian Games. He pitched three perfect innings with five strikeouts against Laos, then started against Silver Medal winner Taiwan. He pitched three shutout innings with three strikeouts, only allowing a hit to Chun-Kai Liao, but he soon forced Hao-Wei Shen to ground into a double play. Japan won Bronze.
