Biographical Information

Chinu Va was on the Laotian national team for their first tournament, the 2018 Asian Games. The teenager started in left field, batting second in their opener against Thailand. He was their first baserunner, drawing a first-inning walk from Siraphop Nadee, but was erased when Cola Phouangkeo hit into a double play. He grounded out in the third then was replaced by Soukhalom Thatsaphone. In their second game, versus Sri Lanka, he replaced Thatsaphone in the 5th in left field. He singled in the 5th off Chirath Karunarathne and grounded out to end the 6th. In the 8th, he struck out against Madumal Ponna Handi Tharidu.
