Biographical Information

Pei-Feng Dai has played in the CPBL and for the Taiwanese national team.

Dai was picked by the Fubon Guardians in the first round of the 2018 CPBL Draft, but he spent most of his time in the minors in the first years in his career, and only played 32 games in his rookie year. Dai shared the starting catcher with Kun-Sheng Lin in 2020, and he hit .254/.307/.482 in 46 games. He managed to attended the 2020 CPBL All-Star Game but struggled in 2021 as his batting line was .162/.213/.182.

The Taichung native broke out in 2022 and he attended the 2022 CPBL All-Star Game; he was 0-for-2. He ended up hitting .254/.303/.298 in 103 games, and became just the 5th catcher to play more than 100 games in a season, following I-Chung Hong, Chun-Chang Yeh, Da-Hung Cheng and Chih-Kang Kao. Dai was selected to Taiwan's 36-man roster of the 2023 World Baseball Classic, but he fractured his right palm and withdrew.

Dai struggled in the 2023, as he only played 53 games with a .185/.262/.264 batting line. He still attended the 2023 CPBL All-Star Game as the top young catcher, and he was 1-for-5. Dai then made it onto Taiwan's roster for the 2022 Asian Games (which were held in 2023 after delays). Dai debuted against Thailand, going 1-for-2 with a single against Suppakorn Lin in the 4th inning. He then went 0-for-3 with a RBI against Hong Kong, and he was 0-for-1 in the next game,. Dai was 1-for-2, with a single against Yoshiki Fuchigami of Japan. In the Gold Medal Game, Dai replaced Chia-Cheng Lin at catcher and he didn't get an at-bat. Taiwan lost to South Korea and won Silver. In the 2023 Asia Professional Baseball Championship, Dai was 0-for-7 and he missed the Bronze Medal Game. Taiwan beat Australia to win Bronze.
