In 1997 the former Orlando Cubs changed their name to the Orlando Rays. In 1999 they affiliated with the Tampa Bay Devil Rays, giving the name a stronger meaning. They played home games at Tinker Field. In 2004 the team moved and became the Montgomery Biscuits.
