Biographical Information[edit]

3B/1B Steve Livesey, son of Bill Livesey and brother of Jeff Livesey, was drafted in the 29th round of the 1986 amateur draft by the New York Yankees. Livesey went to college and was drafted again by the Yankees, this time in the 35th round of the 1991 amateur draft. He played in the Yankees chain in 1991 and 1992, then became a coach with the co-op San Bernardino Spirit in 1993 and 1994, appearing in 4 games as a player each year in the California League.

Livesey was a coach for the Hudson Valley Renegades in 1996-1997, Orlando Rays in 1999-2000, and Bakersfield Blaze in 2002.

In 2011, Livesey is the minor league hitting coordinator for the Tampa Bay Rays.
