[1] In the 2013 World Junior Championship, he lost to Mexico and tossed six shutout innings against Italy in the 11th/12th place game but was dueled evenly by Matteo Bocchi and Lukáš Ercoli lost it in relief. He finished the event at 0-1, 1.50 and clearly the Czech ace. [2] He made his Extraliga debut, hitting .233/.281/.267 for the Arrows Ostrava. [3] He attended the MLB European Elite Camp in 2014. [4]
Satoria did not appear in the Extraliga in 2014. He hit .306/.324/.306 and went 5-for-6 in steals in '15 and was 0-2 with a 3.18 ERA on the hill. He was 2-4 with two saves and a 4.43 ERA in 2016 and hit .348/.381/.424. He tied for second in the Extraliga in saves. He made his debut for the Czech senior team in the 2016 European Championship. He got into two games. Against Sweden, he relieved former minor leaguer Jan Novák with a 6-0 lead in the 8th. He struck out Johnny Lindell but allowed a double to Joel Johnson, a single to Johan Klarberg and a RBI double to Matt Merrifield. He walked Peter Johannessen to load the bases but got Nico Filice to hit into a double play to escape the jam. Jan Tomek took over in the 9th. He also relieved against Spain, taking over for Petr Minařík in the 7th with a 7-0 deficit. He allowed one run (on a single to future major leaguer Luis Guillorme) only in two innings before Tomek came in. He was the top Czech hurler that day. [7]
The right-hander had a 1-1, 1.12 record in the 2017 European U23 Championship, beating France but losing to the Netherlands. He had the best ERA of any pitcher in the event to allow an earned run. [8] He was 14-5 with a save and a 1.74 ERA for Ostrava that season, no longer being used on offense. He was 6th in the league in ERA, 2nd in wins and 10th in whiffs.
In 2018, Satoria was 12-2 with a 2.64 ERA while the Arrows won their first title. He was 8th in ERA, tied Novák for the most wins, was 9th with 89 K and walked only 20 in 95 1/3 IP. He beat Olimpija Karlovac in the 2018 CEB Cup but lost to the Bonn Capitals. He tied Vitalii Chukhrii for 6th in ERA and was 8th in K (12). [9] In the 2018 Super6, he led the Czechs with 3 appearances but got rocked (2 2/3 IP, 9 H, 5 R, 5 ER); his 16.88 ERA was not the highest on a staff with a 12.10 ERA. He tied Loek van Mil, Enorbel Marquez, Daniel Thieben, Andre Hughes and Kevin Kelly for the most games pitched in the event. [10]
