Biographical Information[edit]

Nan Du has played in the US and China.

In 2019, Du was part of the Chinese contingent sent to the Texas AirHogs. He was 4 for 26 with 14 strikeouts and was hit by a pitch; he had no runs and one RBI. In the outfield, he had 13 putouts, an assist and no errors. He also spent time that year with the China Baseball League's Tianjin Lions. [1] He was the leadoff man and right fielder for the Chinese national team in the 2019 Asian Championship, hitting .280/.308/.280 with 4 runs and one RBI in six games. He had their only run off Japan's Yoshiki Yamada. He was 1 for 5 in their Bronze Medal Game upset of South Korea (having gone 2 for 5 in their other upset of South Korea) for China's second medal ever in an Asian Championship. He made the All-Star outfield for the event alongside Chih-Yu Tsai and Seong-bin Hwang. He was the only Chinese representative on the All-Star team though Jin Yang had been their best hitter. [2]
