Biographical Information

Yoshiki Yamada has pitched for the Japanese national team.

After college, he pitched for Seibu Gas in the industrial leagues. In the 2019 Asian Championship, he allowed one run in five (3 H, 0 BB, 7 K) to beat China and Haonan Zhang; Masaru Fujii relieved. Entering the Medal Games, he was tied with Jae-min Kang for 7th in ERA and tied for 5th in strikeouts. He got the nod in the Gold Medal Game but allowed a three-run triple to Jin-De Jhang in the second and was replaced by Shota Abe in the 3rd; he got a no-decision in the 5-4 loss to Taiwan.
