Outfielder Chih-Yu Tsai has played for the Taiwanese national team. [1]
Tai was 7 for 28 and walked 6 times in the 2010 World Junior Championship, and won the gold medal in the event. He then represented Taiwan in the 2012 Haarlem Baseball Week and 2019 World Port Tournament. He was 4 for 20 and didn't have any extra-base hits in the World Port Tournament.[2] He then made Taiwan's roster in the 2019 Asian Championship. He was .400/.470/.666 with 5 RBI and a stolen base. He collected 4 RBI in the game against Sri Lanka. Taiwan won the gold medal in the Championship, and Tsai was named the outfielder of the All-Star team with Nan Du and Seong-bin Hwang. [3]
