Biographical Information[edit]

Min-su Kim pitched in the Korea Baseball Organization and for the South Korea national baseball team.

Kim represented South Korea in the 2012 Asian Championship. He started against the Philippines, and he surrendered three unearned runs in 1 2/3 innings. South Korea won Bronze in the event. Kim was drafted by the KT Wiz in the special round of the 2015 KBO draft for the expansion team, and he had a 5.79 ERA in 15 games with 4 holds in his first season. He then had a 6.75 ERA in 7 games in 2016, and he missed most of the next two seasons due to military service. Kim was 8-5 with a 4.96 ERA as a swingman in 2019, then he struggled in 2020 as his ERA was 6.10 in 33 relief outings.

The Seoul native broke out in 2021. He notched 11 holds in 56 appearances, and his ERA was 2.95. He then collected 30 holds with an elite 1.90 ERA in 76 appearances in 2022, ranking 2nd in games (2 behind Beom-su Kim) and 2nd in holds (5 behind Woo-young Jung). He struggled in 2023 as his ERA rose to 6.92 in 14 games, and he missed three months due to ankle injury. Kim came back in 2024, and he pitched 75 games with 12 holds and a 5.20 ERA. He tied Hyun-sik Jang for 4th in appearances.
