Matanzas is a team in the Cuban Serie Nacional. Rarely a contender, they won their first title in 2019-2020. They played from 1967-1968 through 1973-1974 and returned to the Serie Nacional in 1992-1993. Their lone MVP (through 2014) was José Estrada in 1996-1997. In 2007-2008, they featured batting titlist Yoandy Garlobo.

The team is nicknamed the Cocodrilos (Crocodiles) .
