Kerry Knox was a minor league pitcher for nine years and also spent three in Taiwan.

Knox was picked by the San Diego Padres in the 18th round of the 1989 amateur draft. He made a big splash with the Spokane Indians (8-2, 2.63, 10 BB, 76 K in 75 1/3 IP) in his pro debut. He was 7th in the Northwest League in ERA and was named the NWL's All-Star left-handed pitcher. Kerry was 11-12 with a 3.66 ERA for the 1990 Riverside Red Wave. In '91, he fell to 4-4, 4.91 for the Wichita Wranglers.

Moving to the Milwaukee Brewers chain in 1992, he split time between the Beloit Brewers (4 Sv, 3.77), Stockton Ports (1-1, 2.19) and El Paso Diablos (0-1, 6.89). Next it was the St. Louis Cardinals organization for two years. In 1993, Knox did well with the Arkansas Travelers (4-4, 2.78) but struggled with the Louisville Redbirds (1-4, 4.50). He got his only full season at AAA with the 1994 Redbirds and was 8-9 with a 5.74 ERA. His 185 hits allowed were 12 shy of American Association leader Tim Wakefield.

The left-hander split 1995 between the Texas Rangers' Tulsa Drillers (2-2, 3.41) and the Tyler WildCatters (4-2, 2.44) of the independent Texas-Louisiana League. Knox was 10-3 with a 3.60 ERA for the 1996 Abilene Prairie Dogs, walking only 23 in 120 innings. He was 6th in the TLL in ERA and made the league All-Star team.

In 1997, Kerry pitched for Tyler (3-2, 2.93) and the CPBL's Chinatrust Whales (2-3, Sv, 4.62). The next year, he moved to the Taiwan Major League's Chianan Luka and was 6-4 with a save and a 2.15 ERA. He finished second in ERA behind Chianan teammate Ben Burlingame. With the Luka in 1999, Knox went 3-7 with 13 saves and a 3.87 ERA to end his career.
