Biographical Information[edit]
First baseman Kelly Snider played in the Los Angeles Dodgers chain from 1976 to 1980, reaching AAA Albuquerque Dukes in 1979-1980. Along the way he was the 1977 California League MVP when he hit .345 with a league-leading 36 HR and 139 RBI. His 183 hits were 5 behind league leader Joe Strain.
On March 30, 1981, Snider was traded by the Dodgers to the Minnesota Twins with Mickey Hatcher and Matt Reeves for Ken Landreaux. He spent 1981-1982 with the AAA Toledo Mud Hens before retiring. Snider had spent the last four years as a starter at the AAA level without making the majors.
He was a cousin of Keith Drumright.
