Biographical Information[edit]

Speedy centerfielder Jordan Henry played in the Cleveland Indians system from 2009 to 2012. He was taken by the club in the 7th round of the 2009 amateur draft, a couple picks after pitcher Ian Krol and ahead of future stars Dallas Keuchel and Khris Davis. He was signed by scout Chuck Bartlett. Though he didn't hit a single home run in 1,399 career at-bats, he stole 92 bases -- an average of 23 per season. He peaked at 33 swipes with the Double A Akron Aeros in 2010. He posted a career slash line of .283/.384/.320, hitting a high of .312 between Akron and the Kinston Indians in 2010. He posted two seasons with an on-base percentage of .400 or better, with a high of .411 in 2010.

He was a 2009 New York-Penn League Mid-Season All-Star and a 2010 MiLB.com Organization All-Star.

His brother, Justin Henry, played in the minor leagues from 2007 to 2014.
