Biographical Information[edit]
Jianzeng Sun has pitched in the China Baseball League.
Sun played for the Tianjin Lions. In the 2014 Asian Games, he was with the Chinese national team. He allowed a hit, walk and two runs in 2/3 of an inning to tie for the team's highest ERA. On the other hand, he also played a role in a six-pitcher combined no-hitter against Mongolia. He was their 5th hurler, between Yu Liu and Qingyuan Meng, striking out Baasandorj Batsaikhan and retiring Purevkhisig Davaa. He was on China's team for the 2017 Asian Championship but they withdrew shortly before the event.
He was one of the many Chinese players to appear for the Texas AirHogs in 2018, going 1-5 with a 7.34 ERA and 1.94 WHIP in 10 games (9 starts). He then was part of the mass exodus from the AirHogs in August to join China for the 2018 Asian Games.
